1. THE KYRGYZ-RUSSIAN
SLAVONIC UNIVERSITY (BISHKEK): Agreement signed January 12 2007
The Kyrgyz-Russian Slavonic University (Bishkek) was
established by Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic dated 28
September 1992 and Resolution of the Government of the Russian
Federation No. 149 dated 23 February 1994 and signed by V. Chernomyrdin,
Head of the Government of RF.
Over the years the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavonic University
has worked out a unique development strategy aimed at achieving the
highest educational and scientific standards. Since the beginning the
University has been engaged in acquiring of qualified scientific and
teaching staff, provided a modern computer-based educational and
laboratory base, and opened a number of specialized laboratories,
centers and offices.
Today the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavonic University is an
educational-scientific complex comprised of a university, high school,
college, three gymnasiums and two technical lyceums located in Bishkek.
The university itself comprises 8 faculties and 73
departments. Total enrolment is over 9600 students. Young scientists,
postgraduates, doctoral candidates and students are engaged in
wide-ranging research activities and fully participate in scientific
conferences, competitions and exhibitions. |
